Our community programs are an extension of that mission. We don't just develop footballers. We develop people.

Football has always been more than a game at Western City Rangers FC. Since 1970, this club has been a home for Western Sydney - a place where young people find belonging, develop confidence, and build something that lasts.

Schools

Western City Rangers FC actively partners with primary and secondary schools across the Western Sydney region to bring meaningful football programs directly into school communities. Our school programs are designed to complement what teachers and sport coordinators are already doing -- not replace it. We come in, build relationships, and use football as the vehicle for broader development.

What we offer schools includes on-site football training clinics delivered by qualified coaches, junior leadership workshops that teach communication, responsibility, and decision-making through sport, and curriculum-aligned programs that use sport as a lens for social and personal development. We work with schools to design programs that fit their students, their calendar, and their goals.

If you are a sports coordinator or principal interested in bringing Western City Rangers FC into your school, we would love to hear from you.

junior leadership

Leadership is a skill. And like every skill, it can be trained.

Our junior leadership workshops are built for young people aged 8 to 18 who want to grow beyond the game. Using football as the setting, participants work through real scenarios that develop communication, accountability, and the ability to make good decisions under pressure - on the pitch and off it.

These workshops are available as standalone sessions or as part of our school and holiday camp programs.

COMMUNITY CENTRES & LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS

Western City Rangers FC sits at the heart of the Emerton community and works alongside local community centres, councils, and organisations to make football accessible to everyone -- regardless of background, ability, or experience.

We actively support programs that use sport as a tool for social connection, inclusion, and positive change. If you represent a community organisation and believe there is an opportunity to work together, reach out. We are always open to the conversation.

Our home is Popondetta Park, Emerton - a facility that has recently undergone significant upgrades including a FIFA-grade synthetic field development by Blacktown City Council, new lighting, and a refurbished clubhouse. The ground is our community's ground.
